I watched the snow clouds alternately conceal and reveal the
surrounding hills from me. Being lost on these hills I know so well made me
think about the significance of using a map and compass to discover your position
in an area and the effect of memories and time on remembered landscapes. For
this image I took the text and grid from a map of the area to show the hidden
mathematics supporting the rock. I like that taking the information out of
context transforms it into a mysterious code.
