Relics of Attachment

So, plans for the future involve bundles of barnacles! I intend there to be many of the wee things, hopefully as some kind of floor cover or river through the space. I’m also toying with the idea of putting some things in them, perhaps encased in resin. A truly immersive landscape of sculpture!

This is a selection of teeny tiny paintings and box works. Some of them are less than an inch square. It uses scale to challenge the usual view of encompassing scenes into a hold-able and miniature land. They play with the idea of possessiveness towards a familiar landscape and places where strong memories take place.

Studio work

I've been framing a few of my prints and working on making lots of the small sculptures for the degree show. They remind me of barnacles or orange pith. The painting on the left on the shelf in the second photo is being exhibited in Generator!! http://www.generatorprojects.co.uk/
